From the Night Elves, Innovindil the Druid, from the Dwarves, Danan the Alpine Hunter and from the Humans, Pio the Knight of the Light. The order's official task was to protect the borders of Azeroth and Theramore, but the council gave (vagy simán gave, vagy has given, a has gave semmiképp se jó nyelvtanilag. and lead the Order of Watchers.

Az alkalmat kihasználva, Lady Sylvanas, fellázadt az Ostor ellen és átvette a Lordaeron romjai alatt húzódó
barlangvárost.
Azonban amíg minden nép saját kárát igyekszik orvosolni, összeült egy titkos tanács.
Dalaran bölcsei, hogy új hazájukat a déli Viharváradot megtartsák, kiválasztottak a hajdani szövetségesek közül
három látót, hogy szervezzék meg és vezessék az őrzők rendjét.
Az árny tündék közül Innovindil a Druida, a törpök közül Danan a Havasi Vadász, az emberek közül Pio a fény lovaja
lett a kiválaszott.
A rend hivatalos feladata, hogy Azeroth és Theramore határait védjék meg, a tanács azonban egy kevésbé nyilvános
megbízást is adott.
A kinevezett felderítőknek a határokon kívül, a nagyvilágot járva kell felkutatniuk az Azerothra szivárgó démoni
erőket, melyek fenyegetést jelenthetnek a Szövetségre és a Hordára nézve egyaránt.
